Amaravati, February 15, 2026: Devotees created long lines at key Shiva shrines in Vijayawada and surrounding areas, including Indrakeeladri Sivalayam, Patha Sivalayam, Challapalli Bungalow Sivalayam, Yanamalakuduru's Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy temple, and Sri Vagdevi Aadhyatmika Kshetram.

Crowds chanted “Om Namah Siva” while waiting, and many took sacred baths at Durga Ghat in the Krishna River before sunrise. Temples featured colourful decorations with thoranams, mandapams, and flex boards of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Special ceremonies like Mahanyasa Abhishekam, Rudra Abhishekam, Rudra Homams, and nighttime Lingodbhava Kala Abhishekam took place, alongside Siva-Parvati Kalyanam at linked sites. Authorities managed crowds effectively with traffic diversions and arrangements, reflecting strong local devotion.
