Minister offers silk robes at yaganti temple on mahasivaratri

Amaravati, February 15, 2026: Roads and Buildings Minister B. C. Janardhan Reddy visited the historic Sri Uma Maheswara Swamy temple in Yaganti, Nandyal district, on Mahasivaratri.

Accompanied by family, he offered traditional silk robes to the deity on behalf of the state government. Temple officials welcomed the minister before he joined Abhisekham and other rituals.

The minister then inaugurated medical camps, drinking water stations, and buttermilk counters in the premises to aid the large crowds. He reviewed devotee arrangements and directed officials to prioritise smooth, hassle-free darshan for common visitors during the festival.
