Amaravati, February 15, 2026: Thousands of devotees gathered along the Godavari River in the Godavari region to perform the ritual holy dip during Maha Shivaratri celebrations.

Key spots included the Akhanda Godavari stretch from Polavaram to Dowleswaram, with heavy crowds at ghats like Pushkar Ghat, Kotilingala Ghat, and Saraswathi Ghat in Rajamahendravaram.

Devotees also visited prominent Shiva temples such as Kukkuteswara Swamy in Pithapuram, Chalukya Kumara Rama Bheemeswara Swamy in Samarlakota, and Bheemeswara Swamy in Draksharama for darshan.
