Amaravati, February 15, 2026: Andhra Pradesh has partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to accelerate AI-driven reforms in public healthcare, aiming for preventive, predictive, and accessible services statewide.

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav announced the collaboration, which brings technical expertise from the foundation to support Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vision for a "Healthy Andhra Pradesh."

Key elements include forming an expert advisory group with international specialists, creating sub-committees for targeted reforms, and launching initiatives like the 'Sanjeevani' real-time health monitoring project (piloted in Kuppam and expanding) and a 'MedTech Challenge' to pilot AI-enabled devices in government hospitals.

The focus shifts toward early disease detection, personalised health profiles, telemedicine for remote areas, integrated data platforms like the RTGS "Aware" system for outbreak alerts, and a new Digital Modelling and Intelligence Decision Centre at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
