Amaravati, February 15: Andhra Pradesh's 2026-27 budget totals ₹3,32,205 crore, with a strong focus on welfare, education, and infrastructure under the coalition government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the plan, allocating ₹51,012 crore for Backwards Classes (BC) welfare up from ₹47,456 crore last year, including ₹23,324 crore for the BC Welfare Department and support for economically weaker sections.

Other key welfare provisions include ₹20,644 crore for Scheduled Castes, ₹9,190 crore for Scheduled Tribes, ₹6,090 crore for minorities, and ₹4,582 crore for women, children, differently-abled, and senior citizens.

The budget boosts capital expenditure to ₹53,915 crore for asset creation, while prioritising sectors like school education (₹32,308 crore), health (₹19,306 crore), and rural development (₹22,942 crore). Schemes such as Thalliki Vandanam and irrigation projects also see substantial funding.
