Amaravati, February 15, 2026: The state government unveiled a record Rs 53,752.12 crore allocation for agriculture and allied sectors in the 2026-27 fiscal year, marking one of the largest farm-focused outlays in Andhra Pradesh's history.

Key components include Rs 13,722 crore for free electricity to 22.5 lakh agricultural pump sets (nine hours daily), Rs 14,277 crore for irrigation projects to enhance water security, and Rs 12,152 crore directly for the Agriculture Department to lift farm incomes.

The flagship Annadata Sukhibhava scheme receives Rs 6,600 crore, up Rs 291 crore from last year. Allied areas gain strong support: horticulture gets Rs 1,124 crore (with emphasis on oil palm and micro-irrigation), animal husbandry Rs 1,121 crore (including new goshalas, fodder subsidies, and veterinary upgrades), and fisheries Rs 524 crore.
