Amaravati, February 14, 2026: The two-day Pakala Beach Festival began today at Pakala Beach in Singarayakonda mandal, Prakasam district.

Jointly hosted by the AP Tourism Department and AP Maritime Board, the event coincides with Maha Sivaratri and draws pilgrims for holy dips plus tourists for fun seaside vibes.

Organizers set up enhanced safety steps after lessons from past beach crowds. Marine police, expert swimmers, and staff stay on duty 24/7.

Warning boards mark deep areas, traffic gets rerouted via service roads from Kandukur, Kavali, Nellore, and Ongole, and separate parking handles cars, buses, and bikes.

Authorities urge no sea entry under the influence and full police rule compliance. Drinking water, sanitation, medical aid, and emergency lines (Dial-112 or 100) stand ready.
