Vijayawada, February 14, 2026: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu released the EAGLE Annual Report-2025 at the Secretariat today, calling it a key step in Andhra Pradesh's structured battle against drugs.
He praised the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) for building a tech-driven, intelligence-based system that has changed how the state tackles narcotics nationally.
The report covers January 2025 to January 2026 and records 1,836 cases under the NDPS Act, seizure of over 46,000 kg of ganja, arrest of 4,760 people, confiscation of 770 vehicles, and freezing of assets worth Rs 9.11 crore.
Naidu highlighted programs like Operation Chaitanyam and Operation Safe Campus Zone, which mix strict action with community education and support for de-addiction.
