Vijayawada, February 14, 2026: CPI State secretary G. Eswaraiah accused the N. Chandrababu Naidu-led government of prioritising self-praise over substance in the recently presented ₹3.32 lakh crore budget for 2026-27.

He highlighted the lack of progress on Super Six guarantees, including no job calendar for four lakh annual positions, no firm rollout of ₹1,500 monthly assistance to women, and no clarity on the 12th Pay Revision Commission or ending the Contributory Pension Scheme for employees.

Eswaraiah pointed to rising state debt, pending fee reimbursements, reduced welfare and education funding, and insufficient support for projects like Veligonda and Polavaram rehabilitation. He warned that heavy borrowing could threaten long-term financial health.
