Amaravati, February 14, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu declared that Andhra Pradesh is navigating a hopeful phase of recovery and growth after presenting what he called the best possible budget under current constraints.
Speaking to media in the Assembly lobby following the 2026-27 budget presentation, he stressed steady fiscal management with central support while addressing legacies of low revenue and high spending from the prior administration.
Naidu pointed to key drivers like agriculture highlighting premium products such as Ongole milk and Anantapur fruits and services for revenue gains.
He outlined infrastructure pushes in Amaravati, including ring roads and highway links to boost connectivity, plus a ₹30,000 crore plan to turn Rayalaseema into a horticulture powerhouse.
Looking ahead, he predicted a much stronger budget in two to three years, with Amaravati emerging as a model urban success and initiatives like the Sanjeevini programme drawing global attention.
