Amaravati, February 14, 2026: Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the Andhra Pradesh state budget for 2026-27, totalling ₹3,32,205 crore, with school education receiving the top departmental allocation of ₹32,308 crore.
This includes ₹1,500 crore dedicated to overhauling infrastructure in public schools, alongside major schemes like Talliki Vandanam (₹9,668 crore for child support), Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal (₹2,161 crore), and initiatives under Mana Badi Mana Bhavishyathu.
The focus aims to boost digital learning, teacher training, AI-integrated curriculum, and overall quality to align with national education goals and reduce dropouts.
Other notable spends include health at ₹19,306 crore and agriculture-related sectors around ₹13,598 crore, while capital expenditure sees a record push for infrastructure revival, including Amaravati development.
