Amaravati, February 14, 2026: Andhra Pradesh has marked a key win in its fight against narcotics. Courts convicted 157 accused across 72 cases under the NDPS Act between January 1, 2025, and February 6, 2026.
Strong preparation of cases, solid evidence gathering, and teamwork between law and order police, investigators, the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE), and prosecution teams drove these results.
Districts like Anakapalli led with the most cases, followed by Alluri Sitarama Raju, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, and Guntur.
Officials credit specialised training from EAGLE’s Centre of Excellence on drug trends, hiding methods, and evidence rules. The state has garnered national praise as a model for anti-narcotics efforts.
