Amaravati, February 14, 2026: Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the Andhra Pradesh budget for 2026-27 in the Assembly, proposing a total outlay exceeding ₹3.32 lakh crore.
A key highlight is the launch of Amaravati Quantum Valley, featuring a Quantum Computing Centre that positions the state at the forefront of deep-tech advancements.
Keshav noted this initiative will empower today's youth in the same transformative way the IT revolution uplifted the 1990s generation.
The budget allocates ₹14,539 crore to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department to accelerate Amaravati's growth as the people's permanent capital.
Administrative sanctions cover 97 works worth ₹57,868 crore, funded through a self-sustaining model from financial institutions. Keshav thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for backing Amaravati's development and legislative efforts to grant it statutory status.
