Amaravati, February 14: Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the Andhra Pradesh state budget for 2026-27 in the Assembly, with a total outlay of ₹3,32,205 crore. Revenue expenditure stands at ₹2,56,143 crore, while capital expenditure is estimated at ₹53,915 crore.
The budget projects a revenue deficit of ₹22,002 crore and a fiscal deficit of ₹75,868 crore, signalling measured fiscal management.
Key allocations include ₹32,308 crore for school education, ₹19,306 crore for health and family welfare, ₹22,942 crore for Panchayati Raj and rural development, ₹13,934 crore for energy (including power subsidies for farmers), and ₹13,546 crore for roads and ports.
Agriculture and allied sectors receive ₹13,598 crore, with emphasis on farmer support schemes. A notable ₹6,000 crore goes toward Amaravati capital construction, alongside initiatives for city economic regions in Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, and Tirupati.
