Amaravati, February 12, 2026: At the Tirupati Kisan Mela held at the ANGRAU Regional Agricultural Research Station, Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar inaugurated the event and called on farmers to break from traditional routines.
He stressed formingFarmer-Producer Organisations, embracing technology and mechanisation, adding value to crops, improving marketing, and heeding experts to boost yields and income amid a national labour shortage.
The gathering drew farmers from Tirupati, Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa, and Annamayya districts. Discussions highlighted natural farming, crop diversification, post-harvest techniques, and mechanised tools to make agriculture more sustainable and profitable.
