Amaravati, February 12, 2026: Chief Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur administered the oath to Justice Balaji Medamalli in a ceremony at the First Court Hall of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Dignitaries including other judges, Additional Solicitor General Challa Dhanunjaya, Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas, and Bar Council Chairman N. Dwarakanath Reddy attended the event.

A seasoned advocate from Andhra Pradesh, Justice Medamalli began his career in Hyderabad, served as Assistant Government Pleader (2004–2006), and later as Standing Counsel for Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.

Born in Rajampeta, Kadapa district, his elevation follows Supreme Court Collegium recommendation on January 28 and presidential notification on February 10 for a two-year term as Additional Judge.
