Amaravati, February 12, 2026: CPI State leader K. Narayana sharply criticised political parties for weaponising religious sentiments in the ongoing Tirumala ghee adulteration row.

Speaking in Tirumala, he described turning the issue tied to the sacred Tirupati laddu prasadam into a tool for electoral gain as “highly unacceptable” and “morally untenable.”

He stressed that debates should centre on policy and governance, not drag faith into opportunism, while acknowledging adulteration occurred and calling for accountability without inflaming devotee emotions.
