Amaravati, February 12, 2026: Chittoor district police, led by SP Tushar Dudi, launched a helmet awareness campaign at Gandhi Bomma Junction to tackle increasing road accidents in urban areas.
The SP highlighted that most incidents involve two-wheelers and autorickshaws, often resulting in head injuries. Authorities distributed special posters promoting helmet use and placed them on autorickshaws for better reach.
Dudi stressed that enforcement goes beyond fines the aim is lasting change through public education and cooperation. He called on auto unions, drivers, media, and residents to join efforts, urging drivers to guide passengers on rules and safe habits.
