Amaravati, February 11: YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led government of presenting inflated Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) figures to project strong economic progress.
He pointed out that the government claims an 11.75% nominal GSDP growth for 2024-25, above the national average of 9.8% and a projected 10.75% for 2025-26 against the national 8%.
The opposition leader argued these internal estimates rank the state third in real GSDP growth but fail to match reality.
Jagan highlighted a sharp contrast from Comptroller and Auditor General data, showing tax revenues grew at just 1.97% compound annual rate over two years.
