Vijayawada, February 10, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Planning Department released a comparative analysis showing the state’s economy at ₹17,62,357 crore for 2025-26.
This marks a strong 10.75% growth over the previous year, with real-term expansion at 9.88%. Both figures exceed India’s GDP growth of 7.4%.
Sectoral drivers include agriculture and allied activities at 10.14%, industry at 9.15%, and services at 10.67%. Per capita income rose 10.43% to ₹2,94,507.
Strong farm output rice up 15.3% to 146.09 lakh tonnes and maize up 18.9% to 29.13 lakh tonnes bolstered results.
Principal Secretary (Planning) Peeyush Kumar highlighted the positive trajectory despite fiscal pressures, noting national recovery trends like controlled inflation.
