Key efforts include expanding the PM-KUSUM scheme for free daytime solar power to nearly 3 lakh agricultural pumps, rooftop solar installations for over 20 lakh SC/ST households (1,198 MWp capacity) and ongoing procurement for 27.59 lakh BC households, plus 150 MW on government buildings.
A 1.5 GW/3 GWh battery storage system boosts reliability, while Rs 70,000 crore Green Energy Corridor investments 60% from private bids upgrade transmission with advanced tech like HTLS and GIS.
