Amaravati, February 10: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed ministers and secretaries to prepare a comprehensive summer action plan.
The focus is on preventing drinking water shortages and ensuring fodder availability for livestock amid expected heatwave conditions.
In a meeting at the Secretariat in Velagapudi, Naidu stressed protecting water bodies from encroachments, desilting tanks and canals, and recharging groundwater treated as a "water bank" for long-term sustainability.
He held officials accountable for safe drinking water supply, pollution prevention, and avoiding past issues like contaminated hostel water.
