Amaravati, February 09, 2026: Nineteen students from colleges across Andhra Pradesh, including Anantapur, Tanuku, and Vijayawada, launched the ‘Pedal for Freedom’ cycle rally on Monday from S.R.R and C.V.R. Degree College in Vijayawada.

Jointly organised by the Commissioner of Collegiate Education and Red Rope NGO, the 600-km journey to Visakhapatnam aims to educate communities through flash mobs, public meetings, and direct outreach on the devastating impacts of drug abuse, especially ganja and human trafficking.

The rally received strong backing from the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE). Inspector General Ake Ravi Krishna flagged it off alongside Collegiate Education Commissioner Narayana Bharat Gupta and other officials, praising the students’ resolve to cycle the full distance and spread the message.
