Amaravati, February 09, 2026: Andhra Pradesh authorities have declared the recent avian influenza outbreak under control following confirmation in two villages of Sodam mandal, Annamayya district.

Minister K. Atchannaidu stated that bird flu was verified through lab tests from Bhopal's NIHSAD, prompting immediate deployment of Rapid Response Teams.

Culling operations wrapped up in affected poultry farms by February 8, with movement restrictions imposed and additional samples from nearby Chittoor district under testing.
