Amaravati, February 09, 2026: Authorities at Rajahmundry Central Prison released YSRCP leader and former Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu for one day under a production warrant (PT warrant) from Guntur police.
The move allowed his appearance in a local Guntur court related to charges from protests against the privatisation of medical colleges in the state.
Rambabu, held as a remand prisoner in Rajahmundry since early February following a separate case involving alleged abusive remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, was produced in court amid ongoing political tensions in Andhra Pradesh.
