Amaravati, February 08, 2026: Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar sharply criticised the YSR Congress Party for rejecting claims of wrongdoing in the Tirumala laddu ghee adulteration case.
Speaking to media in Tenali, he stressed that the issue goes beyond politics it hurts the sentiments of millions of devotees who revere the sacred prasadam at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
Manohar pointed to the CBI report, submitted under court supervision, which confirmed adulteration in the ghee supplied.
He highlighted that investigations showed no quality ghee in six million litres procured, yet the YSRCP launched what he called an "objectionable" counter-attack for political gain.
He added that YSRCP leaders lack the moral right to comment after such revelations and praised Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan's commitment to safeguarding Hindu dharma without targeting other faiths.
