Amaravati, February 08, 2026: The sacred Mahasivaratri Brahmotsavams commenced today at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh with elaborate Vedic rituals performed strictly as per Agama traditions.

The festivities opened with Ganapati Puja, Punyahavachanam, and key ceremonies like Dwajarohana in the evening, inviting divine presence for Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddess Bhramaramba.

Temple authorities have arranged free 50-gram laddu prasadam distribution from February 13 to 16 and dedicated bus services for devotees to explore nearby sites.

The 11-day event, running until February 18, features daily vahana processions and peaks on Maha Shivaratri (February 15) with special abhishekams and night-long observances.
