Amaravati, February 08, 2026: Officials launched drainage infrastructure worth ₹1.17 crore in Vinjamur, Udayagiri constituency, SPSR Nellore district.

The project includes a 1 km stormwater drainage network, six feet wide, laid across the town. Funding comes from the Nellore Urban Development Authority (₹87 lakh) and Mandal Praja Parishad (₹30 lakh).

It also covers converting a key tar road from the RWS office to Neredupalle into a durable cement concrete road. Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh, who secured the funds, joined MPP President Vanipenta Hymavathi to inspect and inaugurate the works on Sunday.
