Vijayawada, February 07, 2026: Authorities continue investigating the suspicious death of Dr. B. Deepika, a 27-year-old final-year postgraduate student in anaesthesiology at Government General Hospital (GGH), Vijayawada.
The doctor, originally from Anantapur and residing in the hospital's government hostel, died in the early hours of February 5 while on duty after complaining of stomach pain.
Central Zone police registered a case under relevant sections and handed her body to family members after post-mortem.
Viscera samples and her phone were forwarded to the Forensic Science Laboratory for detailed analysis to determine the exact cause.
