Amaravati, February 07, 2026: Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandrashekhar inaugurated the "Vande Mataram" photo exhibition organised by the Central Bureau of Communication at the ongoing Kondaveedu Festival in Palnadu district.
The display, marking 150 years of the iconic national song composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, showcases rare images from the songwriter's life and key historical moments that inspired the freedom struggle.
The two-day festival, hosted by the Andhra Pradesh government, revives the legacy of the historic Kondaveedu empire while blending patriotism with local heritage.
Attendees included State Endowment Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Narasaraopet MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu, and other officials.
MP Devarayalu encouraged young visitors to draw inspiration from the song's unifying message for building a developed India. CBC officials reported strong footfall, with an on-the-spot quiz engaging students and prizes distributed.
