Madanapalle, February 07, 2026: Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), a deemed university in Annamayya district, teamed up with district police for an awareness event against drug abuse.
Students took part in a 3K run themed “Say No to Drugs – Yes to Life,” performed a skit on the risks, and heard direct appeals from leaders.
Vice-Chancellor C. Yuvaraj highlighted the need to educate youth on dangers and promote healthy living.
Superintendent of Police Dheeraj Kunubilli flagged off the run and warned that drugs ruin personal futures, families, and society. He urged students to choose sports, exercise, and positive thinking instead, and to reach out confidentially to police if they spot addiction issues.
