Amaravati, February 06, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted bail to Chinna Appanna, a key accused in the high-profile Tirumala laddu ghee adulteration case.

Justice Venkata Jyothirmayi Pratapa approved the plea on February 5 with conditions including two sureties of Rs 1 lakh each, passport surrender, and full cooperation with the ongoing probe.

Appanna, once linked to former TTD leadership, faces charges related to alleged commissions from dairy suppliers in the supply of adulterated ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) between 2019 and 2024.

Investigators found that synthetic ghee compromised the laddu prasadam quality, affecting devotee faith and causing significant financial loss. His counsel argued no direct role in adulteration or supply, noting other suppliers received bail earlier. The court rejected his first bail application but accepted the second.
