Vijayawada, February 06, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (APJAC) Amaravati held its fourth state general body meeting today, adopting 16 resolutions focused on government employee welfare.

The group, representing multiple associations, urged official recognition of APJAC Amaravati and its inclusion in the State Joint Staff Council to better address service, salary, and pension concerns.

Key demands include appointing a commissioner for the long-pending 12th Pay Revision Commission, announcing interim relief, clearing arrears on dearness allowance, PRC dues, GPF, and surrender leave encashment, shifting eligible staff from contributory to old pension schemes, restoring higher pension benefits, regularising contract workers, and boosting Village Revenue Assistants' honorarium. Organisational updates featured bylaw amendments and a new women's wing.
