Amaravati, February 06: Chief Secretary K Vijayanand chaired the State-level Coordination Committee meeting to advance preparations for the 2027 Population Census in Andhra Pradesh.
He directed all departments to issue clear instructions to field staff and launch widespread public awareness efforts at the grassroots level.
The census will roll out in two phases: House Listing and Housing Census first, followed by Population Enumeration from February 9 to 28, 2027.
State Census Director J Nivas outlined the structure in a detailed presentation. Special Information, Education, and Communication materials will reach every district to educate residents and build cooperation.
