Amaravati, February 05, 2026: Temple authorities at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram, near Tirupati, carried out the traditional Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam today.

This sacred purificatory rite, performed four times a year before major festivals, thoroughly cleaned the temple premises walls, pillars, ceilings, and puja items with water, then applied a fragrant herbal mixture including Namam powder, Srichurnam, Kasturi turmeric, sandalwood, edible camphor, and vermilion to restore sanctity and purity.

The ritual sets the stage for the temple’s upcoming nine-day Brahmotsavams, beginning with Dhwajarohanam on February 8 and featuring processions like Simha Vahanam, Garuda Seva, and Rathotsavam through February 15.

In a devotional gesture, local tailor M. Subramanyam donated two curtains and ceiling covers, accepted by temple officials for use in the sanctum.
