Vizag, February 04, 2026: The second Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting for 2025-26 took place in Visakhapatnam on February 3. Chaired by Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra, the session focused on passenger amenities, train services, and infrastructure needs.

Members, including nominees from MPs, MLAs, the Chamber of Commerce, and passenger associations, raised the introduction of Vande Bharat Express services from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru and to Tirupati.

Ch. Gandhi, nominated by the Visakhapatnam MP, led the call for these semi-high-speed trains to boost travel efficiency. Other discussions covered better facilities for persons with disabilities, more train frequencies, and reduced parking fees at Duvvada station.
