Amaravati, February 03, 2026: YSR Congress Party leaders criticised the TDP-led government for politicising the Tirumala laddu prasadam issue and deploying ministers to defend what they call fabricated narratives.
Former minister V. Srinivasa Rao, speaking in Vijayawada, highlighted reports from the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) that found no animal fat in ghee samples used for the sacred laddus.
He condemned the formation of new inquiry committees as unconstitutional while the Supreme Court oversees the matter, accusing authorities of misusing power and exploiting religious sentiments.
Tirupati MP M. Gurumoorthy echoed this in New Delhi, noting the Supreme Court-directed SIT confirmed laddu purity and alleging officer transfers stemmed from inconvenient findings.
