Vijayawada, February 01, 2026: Andhra Pradesh is advancing digital reforms in higher education through unified identity platforms. At a recent workshop, APSCHE Vice-Chairperson K. Ratna Shiela Mani highlighted how these systems deliver strong academic and administrative gains by improving transparency, portability, and efficiency.

Key tools include APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) and SAMARTH, which support seamless record management under the national 'One Nation One ID' framework.

Officials noted this enables students to move easily between institutions with secure, real-time access to credentials, including digital degrees. Participants from universities, autonomous colleges in Guntur and Krishna districts, and technical staff discussed implementation steps and challenges.
