Amaravati, February 01, 2026: A group of suspected Telugu Desam Party activists stormed the home of YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Jogi Ramesh in Ibrahimpatnam, NTR district, on Sunday.

Protesters accused him of making objectionable remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. They removed banners, entered the premises, damaged furniture and glass panes, and set parts of the house on fire, creating panic among neighbours.

Ramesh and his family were not harmed, though some members were present inside during the incident. Police arrived to disperse the crowd and control the situation, with firefighters extinguishing the flames. The attack follows similar unrest targeting YSRCP figures.
