Kakinada, January 31, 2026: At the ‘Hello Lokesh @ JNTUK’ programme at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh called on students and young innovators to pursue startups.

He assured full state support for promising projects and stressed Andhra Pradesh's aim to lead nationally in every sector.

Lokesh highlighted the Godavari region's strengths in agriculture, aquaculture, and technology, calling it the state's food bowl and growth driver. He advised JNTUK to prioritise emerging fields like green hydrogen, aqua technology, offshore petroleum, quantum technology, AI, and research-driven design engineering.

He inspected displays at the JNTUK Innovation Fair–2026, featuring projects from 20 engineering colleges in areas such as AI, IoT, smart agriculture, robotics, healthcare, and sustainability. The minister also inaugurated a new 252-bed student hostel and campus roads.
