Amaravati, January 30, 2026: A Supreme Court-mandated CBI-led Special Investigation Team has filed its final chargesheet, ruling out any animal fat including beef tallow or lard in the ghee supplied for Tirumala laddu prasadam.

Former TTD chairman and Rajya Sabha member YV Subba Reddy highlighted the findings, stating the report confirms pure absence of such substances in samples tested by national labs.

The probe, sparked by 2024 allegations during the previous regime, instead uncovered adulteration through vegetable oils and chemical mimics in supplies between 2019 and 2024, naming 36 accused in a procurement scam.
