Amaravati, January 28, 2026: The ancient Srikalahasti Temple, revered as Dakshina Kasi and one of Andhra Pradesh's Pancha Bhuta Sthalams dedicated to Vayu Lingam, gears up for its grand Mahashivaratri Brahmotsavams from February 10 to 22.

The 13-day festival opens with Sri Bhakta Kanappa Deeksha Vidharanam and Ankurarpana on February 10, followed by key events like Dwajarohanam, various Vahana Sevas (including Bhootha Shuka, Vrushabha, Surya, and Nandi), Maha Shivaratri observances on February 15, Rathotsavam and Teppotsavam on February 16, and Sri Swamy Kalyanotsavam on February 17.

Authorities have ramped up preparations, including mural paintings, Gali Gopuram refurbishment, Swarnamukhi riverfront beautification, and arrangements for water, sanitation, free food, medical aid, and smooth darshan to handle thousands of expected pilgrims.
