Amaravati, January 28, 2026: Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy submitted a memorandum to Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad seeking a reduction in elevated registration charges within the Rayachoti Sub-Registrar office limits.

He highlighted that values surged 200-300 per cent when Rayachoti served as Annamayya district headquarters before the shift to Madanapalle leaving market rates far above actual land prices. This has sharply reduced registrations, hurting homebuyers, developers, and local trades.

Reddy warned that the planned land market value increase effective February 1 could deepen the distress and slow the local economy. The Revenue Minister responded positively, promising to examine the request closely.
