Amaravati, January 28, 2026: Eluru railway station, a key hub in West Godavari district, is set for a major facelift with Rs 21 crore allocated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The redevelopment focuses on blending modern amenities with local heritage, including a grand entrance gate modelled after the iconic Dwarka Tirumala Gopuram to serve as a landmark for pilgrims and daily commuters.

Upgrades include new platform shelters, enhanced waiting halls on platforms 2 and 3, better signage for easier navigation, expanded parking, accessibility features like lifts and wheelchair provisions, landscaping for a greener look, and ‘One Station, One Product’ stalls to spotlight regional goods from self-help groups.
