Amaravati, January 27, 2026: In a milestone for inclusion and empowerment, Vishva Vani drove an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus as part of the 77th Republic Day tableau at Kurnool's Police Parade Grounds.
Selected as the only woman in a group of 20 for the SC Corporation's motor driving training under the Prime Minister’s Adarsh Gram Yojana (PM-AJAY), she completed heavy vehicle training and confidently handled the bus, earning cheers from the crowd and officials.
Kurnool District Collector A Siri presented her with a certificate of appreciation, praising her courage and urging more women to enter non-traditional fields.
