Vizag, January 27, 2026: Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), reviewed a crisp ceremonial parade at the Naval Base in Visakhapatnam to mark India's 77th Republic Day.

Over 500 personnel from ships, submarines, shore units, Defence Security Corps, and Sea Cadet Corps participated in the march past, reflecting discipline and operational strength.

The parade highlighted ENC's recent achievements, including foreign port visits by ships to Fiji and Papua New Guinea last year, and the induction of six new warships in 2025 to boost anti-submarine and rescue capabilities.

Vice Admiral Bhalla emphasized India's preparations to host three landmark international naval gatherings in 2026 the International Fleet Review, Exercise MILAN-26, and the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium Conclave of Chiefs positioning Visakhapatnam as a key centre for global maritime cooperation.
