Amaravati, January 27, 2026: Former Kamalapuram MLA G Veera Siva Reddy announced he will formally join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in February. He aims to contest as an MLA candidate in the 2029 Assembly elections from the same constituency in Kadapa district.

Speaking at a press conference in Kamalapuram, Reddy said he recently discussed his decision with BJP state president PVN Madhav in Vijayawada. He plans a large public rally for his entry, likely in Vijayawada or Kamalapuram.

From February, Reddy intends to work actively among constituents, claiming strong public support for his return as MLA.

He also criticised sitting MLA P. Krishna Chaitanya Reddy and his father, former MLA P. Narasimha Reddy, over alleged illegal extraction and transportation of sand, soil, and gravel in the area.
