Amaravati, January 25, 2026: Thousands gathered at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanur near Tirupati for Ratha Saptami, celebrated as a mini Brahmotsavam.
The goddess rode seven sacred vahanams from dawn to dusk, starting with Surya Prabha Vahanam to honour the Sun God, followed by Hamsa, Aswa, Garuda, Chinna Sesha, Chandra Prabha, and Gaja carriers.
A ceremonial bath with sacred items like milk, curd, honey, and sandal paste took place in the afternoon, accompanied by devotional performances including Kolatam and Chekka Bhajana by cultural troupes.
