Amaravati, January 25, 2026: Chittoor district earned statewide recognition by claiming second position for excellence in electoral management. District Collector Sumit Kumar accepted the award from Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand during the 16th National Voters’ Day celebrations at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada.
The award highlights the district's strong performance in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Officials praised effective voter data verification, precise electoral mapping, and smooth coordination across the election team. These efforts promoted transparency and built a more reliable voter list.
