Amaravati, January 25, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary K Vijayanand has instructed officials from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and APTRANSCO to speed up the re-routing of existing 400 kV and 220 kV extra high tension transmission lines passing through Amaravati's central zone.

The directive came during a high-level review meeting in Vijayawada, where the chief secretary stressed coordinated, time-bound execution with regular field monitoring and inter-departmental collaboration.

The re-routing follows the approved master plan, incorporates green buffers and major roads, and is funded through stakeholder deposits.
